Food for energy, a fit body, and a fit brain

My objective is to simplify healthspan-focused eating so people can work it into their lives without struggle. Two of the most important nutritional steps we can take to increase healthspan are to eat more fiber and more protein. From a longevity perspective it is also highly beneficial to decrease intake of methionine, which is found in high amounts in animal products.

For most people, it can be quite a challenge to get enough protein while eating mostly plant-based whole foods. To help solve that need, you will notice that many of the recipes here are plant-based and protein-centric. I include a few carefully-selected processed foods and animal products— neither should be the center of a longevity nutrition plan, but in reasonable quantities these foods can both fill gaps and keep us away from DoorDash. I focus on ingredients that can be found in a typical U.S. supermarket, because food should be both healthy and accessible.
