Strawberry Hemp Overnight Oats

Why it works

Have you noticed that many bars and other foods that loudly proclaim "protein” on the label come in at around 8-12 grams per serving? Food scientists design these products in such a way that you will wolf them down quickly and be left wanting more. That amount of protein is relatively easy to achieve with whole foods, which contain many other nutrients and no weird chemical ingredients to interfere with your metabolic processes.

There really is no need to buy expensive fake food products. Overnight oats take about two minutes to make, then it’s all hands-off. Make several jars on Sunday and stick them in the fridge to grab throughout the week.

Oats stabilize blood sugar, hemp seeds add protein and omega‑3, and strawberries provide antioxidants. You might be surprised to learn that maple syrup is a beneficial food, providing a large hit of manganese (used for wound healing, bone health, metabolism, and nerve function) along with several other minerals. I think this tastes a lot better than an engineered food item, in addition to being more filling and nutritious.
